Influence of the Week

Hansel Emmanuel
There's a powerful quote by Roy T. Bennett: 'The only limits that exist are the ones you place on yourself.' Hansel Emmanuel is a living example of this principle. Despite having only one arm, he plays college basketball at an elite level. What many would consider impossible, he makes possible through sheer perseverance. For most people, playing basketball with one arm might seem insurmountable, but Hansel refuses to accept 'no' as an answer. His story is a true inspiration, reminding us all to never put limits on ourselves. Don’t ever say you can’t do something!

Song of the Week

Air Jordan 1 "Bred Toe"
The Bred Toe 1's are iconic and extremely groundbreaking! The 1's were the first of their kind offering a hybrid between on court and off court performance, being one of the first 'basketball' shoes to be paired with urban wear. The Jordan 1's are truly revolutionary and launched a whole series of legendary shoes to follow.
Larry June ft. Curren$y and Dom Kennedy - Sunday Morning Drive
Sunday Morning Drive by ScHoolboy Q is the song of the week for this week. Featuring two of the best to ever do it, Curren$y and Dom Kennedy, Larry June literally gives you the vibe of cruising down Santa Monica Blvd on a bright sunny day with the palm trees swaying in the breeze. A personal line that stuck out to me was when he said, "If you really at it for real...then this your theme music." That line hits deep for me because I really am a young black man striving to obtain the life I want to live each and everyday. Go check out the song now!
